Very important about foreclosure?
ok, here it goes, rented a home from a lanlord sept 2007. The owner decides to sell home because she could not afford the mortage.
So aug.19 2008 we get a notice in the mail by suntrust mortgage saying that we have to vacate in 5 days. Can someone please tell me the law, because vacting in 5 days with 5 kids would be so hard
Also I wanted to know do they have a right to put a pad lock on your door within the 5 days to vacate
They are giving you 5 days before they file an eviction.
If you do not mind an eviction on your record then you have another 30 days or so.
I am surprised they did not come to the house and offer you cash for moving, most banks do.
If you need a few extra days call the mortgage company and explain this to them, they would rather skip evicting you if they know you will be moving anyway.
